PLC Introduce Individual Registration
We see from a post on UK LIS LAW that PLC have recently changed the way that subscribers using IP authentication access the service.
Acoording to the UK library manager who posted
They have introduced individual registration which they say is intended to benefit the user through unspecified future initiatives. We launched the registration process a few weeks ago. Some of our users have since experienced difficulties getting into to PLC.
We understand that they will switch off IP recognition within 6 months so it looks like we have no option but to persevere with the system.
